New Family Guide

Your first season, start to finish

Our New Family Guide answers just about every first-year question: registration and fees, the Band App, forms, uniforms, game days, contests and travel. It’s the one document new families lean on most.

To keep it current for our own families, the guide is shared inside the Band App rather than posted publicly. Install the app, join the Parents Group, and you’ll find the New Family Guide link there. New to all of this? Ask in the Incoming Freshman Group, there’s no such thing as a dumb question.

Get the Band App

Day-to-day communication happens here

New to it? The Band App (“BAND”) is a free group-messaging app the program uses to reach families. Call times, schedule changes, reminders and director messages all go out here first, if your student is in the program, it’s the one app to install today.

Once you’re in, join our three groups:

  • Parents Group — announcements and logistics for families
  • Students Group — the day-to-day for your student. This group is for students, not parents.
  • Incoming Freshman Group — for new families, where there’s no such thing as a dumb question. Freshman parents are added to this group after their student registers for Band.

Not sure where to start? The New Family Guide walks you through joining, step by step.

Get Involved

Parents, don’t just watch, get in the game.

The best seats aren’t in the stands, they’re on the crew. Jump in alongside other band parents, make memories with your student, and be part of the show. No experience needed, and every hour makes a difference.
