The Highlander marching band provides students a place to belong and a musical experience like no other at TWHS. As a consistent Bands of America Grand Nationals Finalist, TWHS Marching Band is one of the best high school marching bands in the nation.

Our students work as a member of the ensemble to create musical and visual performances that entertain audiences far and wide. TWHS Marching Band members perform for between 35,000-50,000 live audience members annually and countless more online. Our ensemble includes over 300 students in grades 9-12 making it the largest student organization on campus.

FOOTBALL SEASON

The Woodlands High School Marching Band participates as a vital part of the culture of The Woodlands High School.  It’s primary function is dedicated to the football season.

The marching band attends every football game, both home and away, and enhances the football experience by playing music in the stands and marching a show at half-time of the games.

MARCHING CONTESTS

In addition to football games, the band prepares and performs a musical and visual program for marching competitions, including the UIL contests, Bands of America competitions, and others.

The band is a consistent Bands of America Regional and Super Regional Finalist and won Grand Nationals in 2013. The marching band has also earned 7 straight appearances in the Texas UIL State Marching Contest.
